Mark Powers was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Etihad Aviation Group in January 2018.
Mark is a highly experienced aviation executive with a strong background in finance, treasury and corporate development. For more than a decade, Mark held a number of roles at JetBlue, including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Senior Vice President Treasurer, where he led JetBlue’s significant improvement in financial performance.
He has also held senior positions at other aviation businesses including Northwest Airlines, GE Aviation, and Continental Airlines. Before joining Etihad, Mark was a Professor of Finance at Tulane University's Freeman School of Business where he taught MBA candidates corporate finance and valuation.
Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and a Juris Doctor law degree from Southern Methodist University, both in the US.
