Headed by Chief Financial Officer, Raffael Quintas, the Finance division is responsible for the management of all financial matters at Etihad Aviation Group including Procurement and Supply Chain management. In addition to this, Fleet Planning, Corporate Strategy, Investor Relations and the Group Business Shared Services team sit within Adam’s portfolio.
The division provides leadership and oversight of key financial, operating and strategic functions and supports the achievement of the group’s financial goals and strategic initiatives. The division is also home to the Transformation, Risk and Performance Management functions, which form part of a Corporate Strategy team, and the Enterprise Analytics department, which provides an in-house analysis and problem-solving service to the rest of the group.
The division drives shareholder value while improving cash flow and overall business performance. Balancing compliance and risk management with the achievement of business performance goals, the Finance team provides rigor, discipline and critical thinking to the company’s strategic planning and decision-making processes. A key driver of change, the Finance division promotes financial literacy and discipline throughout the organisation.
Led by Chief Human Resources & Organisational Development & Asset Management Officer, Dr Nadia Bastaki, the division supports Etihad’s strategic and operational agenda with a centralised HR delivery model, focusing on customer service and employee engagement. With a growing focus on transformation and digital technology, the team are also driving the adoption of cloud-based HR systems and working to build a mobile-enabled workforce.
HR and Organisational Development includes several departments that look after Etihad’s greatest asset – its people. These teams cover medical services and wellness, learning and development, HR services, talent acquisition and UAE national development – a core part of our mandate.
Our UAE national development programmes are targeted at building local aviation capabilities to embed Emirati talent across the group.
Chief Operating Officer, Mohammad Al Bulooki leads Etihad's largest division. The division’s responsibilities cover all aspects of the airline’s operation from network planning, sales, and ticket pricing, to flight operations, network operations, airport operations, aircraft maintenance, and training. As well as overseeing Etihad’s global network of airport handlers, the division also manages passenger, cargo and catering services at Etihad’s hub in Abu Dhabi for Etihad and for third party airlines.
The division includes the wholly-owned ground handling company, Etihad Airport Services, and the wholly-owned approved training organisation, Etihad Aviation Training.
Etihad Aviation Training – a world-class aviation training organisation – boasts world-class training facilities, including full-flight simulators for the latest generation of aircraft. It holds both GCAA and EASA training organisation approvals and provides training for airlines and training companies across the world, as well as for Etihad Airways.
The Operating Division ensures that Etihad puts safety first in all of its operations, and ensures compliance with all applicable international regulations. Additionally, the Operating Division ensures Etihad’s guests receive the premium levels of service commensurate with Etihad’s brand, and Abu Dhabi’s positioning as a luxury tourism destination.
Terry Daly, Executive Director Guest Experience, Brand & Marketing for Etihad Aviation Group, oversees the customer facing aspects of the business - the airline’s Customer Experience & Service Delivery department, the Marketing, Brand and Sponsorship department, Etihad Guest, the airline’s award-winning loyalty programme, and its global Contact Centres.
The Guest Experience team ensures the airline remains at the forefront of the industry by investing in products and services that position Etihad as an award-winning international airline. With guests at the heart of everything Etihad does, Wellness Ambassadors were introduced at the start of the Covid pandemic as part of the airline’s robust Etihad Wellness programme.
Responsible for building awareness and positioning the identity of the airline externally, the Marketing, Brand and Sponsorship division works cohesively to present a holistic product, service and experience to airline guests and business partners.
Etihad’s loyalty programme Etihad Guest, continues to enhance its customer experience and is regularly awarded with industry accolades. Recognising the need to reward Etihad’s loyal members both in the air and on the ground, the Etihad Guest team have established strong partnerships with banks, lifestyle partners and charities.
Led by Chief Digital Officer, Frank Meyer, the Digital Technology & Innovation division is responsible for all aspects of digital, innovation and technology, as well as planning, developing and operating the infrastructure and application portfolio for the whole group.
In line with the group’s aspiration for a superior digital experience at all touchpoints, the division develops websites and apps for our internal and external customers.
Digital Technology & Innovation works with various incubators and start-ups to bring leading-edge technology and concepts into the group and works with all key divisions to streamline and digitise processes in the front and back offices.
